geghard ensemble

Our main goal is to spread the Armenian choral music. Together with this we are very pleased to include in our programs Russian and Western musical compositions. Our repertoire usually consists of Armenian sacred and secular choral works: classical and contemporary arrangements of medieval sacred monodies and folk songs. Since 2001, following the purpose of its creation, Geghard Choir takes part in the Divine Liturgy in St. Geghard Monastery every Sunday and on feast days. We are happy to cooperate with other ensembles working in the field of choral music, as well with those who are interested in choral art.
